After spending 8 years in Portland, Mitsu moved back to Colorado to lead the American Alpine Club as its CEO. The Alpine Club is an organization that has been inspiring Americans to explore the boundaries of cutting edge climbing and human capacity and protecting access to public lands. It has supported climbers through its work in education, community building, and policy for 120 years, and it also houses the largest climbing library and archives in North America.
We helped Mitsu purchase a beautiful home in Golden not far from the Alpine Club at the end of last year, and we are so happy to hear that Mitsu has found life in Golden to be a near perfect blend of incredible access to climbing and skiing (not to mention trail runs right out of his back door) combined with all of the wonderful amenities of Denver!
