Client Spotlight: Chuck Born and Frank Walch

Chuck Born came to Denver in 2008 to work as an elementary school teacher with Teach For America, a program that places recent college graduates as teachers in underserved public schools. He and David met through the program and have remained close friends ever since.

After teaching, Chuck started a web development business, bc7 media, and more recently got involved in a healthcare startup aimed at reducing falls in older adults through a balance assessments called SenMetric.

Frank Walch is nearing the end of his 7-year residency as a neurosurgery physician at the University of Colorado, where he treats patients who suffer from brain, spine, and nervous system injuries (never a dull moment!). He is involved in resident advocacy and wellness initiatives, and has plans to focus his practice on stroke retrieval to dramatically reduce (if not fully remove) the long term deficits from strokes.

Chuck and Frank met in 2017, and the rest is history. They both realized seeing all 62 National Parks was on their bucket list and have enjoyed traveling around the country to see half of them so far! Their plans to get married in June of 2020 were thwarted by COVID, but they have rescheduled without too much collateral damage and are looking forward to a summer 2021 wedding.

In 2020, Frank and Chuck purchased a beautiful new construction row home in the Skyland neighborhood north of City Park, where they now live with their dog Max.
